Happy New Year 2018 !!!
I hope you are having an amazing time celebrating with your loved ones. As we are entering a new year, it is a good time to reflect on how the previous one went by, reflect on our goals and readjust ourselves for the new year.
As I ponder about my year 2017, I cannot help myself but feel quite blessed how this year went by. It has far exceeded my expectations. I’ve been blessed above and beyond what I could think or imagine. The greatest blessing of all was the birth of our baby girl, Chloé. I’ve also celebrated a birthday milestone, my 30th birthday with my little family in Cancún. And to finish it all, we got to spend the end of the year with our whole family back in Haiti (check out my Insta Stories for a glimpse)
Every beginning of year, I ask God to give me a verse through which He will shape my year. My verse for this new year is in Deuteronomy 31:8 :“It is the LORD who goes before you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” As I tackle new challenges, I cannot wait to see what God will do!
Wishing you all the best for this new year!
Love and light
Until next time
Finally it is Christmas Day! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you. This Christmas is pretty special for us, as it is Chloé’s first Christmas! This year, we are spending Christmas back home in Haiti. Grandparents, aunts and uncles are pretty psyched to spoil our little princess ! You can get a glimpse of our holiday in Haiti via Instagram and Snapchat (@AlexaSterlin). Wishing you a wonderful day of celebration with your family and loved ones.
Merry Christmas 🎄🎉
I was never a cocktail kind of girl. Give me a nice wine, more preferably a rosé, and I’m good to go! But, all of that changed once I discovered the “Martini Lychee”. Suddenly, I felt a little bit more sophisticated, like I could be casted in a James Bond movie 😉. Now, wherever I go, I ask for a martini lychee even if it’s not on the cocktail menu! Today, I’m sharing with you my favorite way of making it, just in time for the holidays! 🎉
30 ml vodka
10 ml Teichenné liqueur Fleur de Sureau (FYI, it’s perfect by itself and highly reminiscent of lychee. If not, you can also use any lychee liqueur)
30 ml (1 oz.) lychee juice (I use the juice from the can)
5 or 6 ice cubes
1 lime wedge
1 whole lychee (fresh or canned)
Combine the vodka, lychee liqueur and lychee juice in a shaker filled with ice cubes.
Squeeze the lime wedge and add to the shaker.
Shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
Strain into a martini glass.
Add a lychee fruit on a cocktail pick for garnish
It is definitely not difficult to make and it’s perfect to hone down for your hostess’s skills😉
Holiday Tip: Use Christmas ornaments as coasters if you are feeling festive! 🎉🍸🎄
Until next time
I cannot believe that holiday gift season is already upon us. Where has the time gone by? This week has been dedicated to finding the perfect gift for my family and friends. Stores have been dropping deals every now and then, so I took advantage and got my shopping on. View Post
Red Velvet ❤️!! I think it’s my favorite flavor of all time! Don’t know how I lived before without red velvet! I love it so much that for my Hubby’s birthday, even though his favorite flavor is chocolate… I pressed/convinced him to get a red velvet cake!! View Post
