I was never a cocktail kind of girl. Give me a nice wine, more preferably a rosé, and I’m good to go! But, all of that changed once I discovered the “Martini Lychee”. Suddenly, I felt a little bit more sophisticated, like I could be casted in a James Bond movie 😉. Now, wherever I go, I ask for a martini lychee even if it’s not on the cocktail menu! Today, I’m sharing with you my favorite way of making it, just in time for the holidays! 🎉
Ingredients:
30 ml vodka
10 ml Teichenné liqueur Fleur de Sureau (FYI, it’s perfect by itself and highly reminiscent of lychee. If not, you can also use any lychee liqueur)
30 ml (1 oz.) lychee juice (I use the juice from the can)
5 or 6 ice cubes
1 lime wedge
1 whole lychee (fresh or canned)
Preparation:
Combine the vodka, lychee liqueur and lychee juice in a shaker filled with ice cubes.
Squeeze the lime wedge and add to the shaker.
Shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
Strain into a martini glass.
Add a lychee fruit on a cocktail pick for garnish
It is definitely not difficult to make and it’s perfect to hone down for your hostess’s skills😉
Holiday Tip: Use Christmas ornaments as coasters if you are feeling festive! 🎉🍸🎄
Until next time
