Happy birthday to me!
Birthdays are always a time for me to reflect on what I’ve accomplished thus far, but most importantly to celebrate those accomplishments and to readjust my vision for the coming year!
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I’ve learned (or maybe I should say, I am still learning) to “stay in my lane”. Our time on Earth is so fleeting, and it is a shame if we waste it on things that we are not called to do. Focusing our talents in the wrong place will only make us miserable at the end. What might work for someone is not necessarily for you to entertain. We should focus on what is important, what we’ve been called to do. To pursue things because it’s a trend, will only slow us down from our true destiny.
I am not advocating a message of laziness/ comfortableness, just in the name of “staying in your lane”. On the contrary, “staying in your lane” takes guts to not fall in the trap of the daily routine. Staying in your lane means you work your TAIL off to make your dreams a reality, despite what everyone else says or does.
As I celebrate my birthday in Cancun with my family (fyi, you can follow along in my stories), I raise my glass to all the unrealized dreams that are still in me, that are still in you! It is my wish for you that your dreams will not die with you, but they will be your legacy to this Earth. The time to pursue your dreams is NOW! If not now, then when?
