What do you do when faced with the reality of your circumstances? 2020 is in six months! Are you going to sit back and dillydally or are you going to roll your sleeves up and work towards your dreams? Do you give up on your dreams, or push through with the little you have in your hands?
I love this quote from Bishop TD Jakes’s book “Soar”.
“When our dreams exceed our ressources and our vision transcends our present opportunities, we must remember to start small even as we strive toward success.”
TD Jakes – Soar
Don’t give up on your dreams just because you’re not exactly where you thought you would be. On the contrary, with the little you have in your hands, a lot can happen!
Remember the rule of compounding. Saving 20$ a week may not seem like much. However, at a 10% interest rate, over 40 years, you have yourself a nice little cushion of more than $500,000! Now imagine bringing that $20 to $500 a week. That’s more than $12 million in 40 years!
Do realize that what I am trying to tell you is more than saving for your retirement. It goes beyond that. Think about your dreams, what makes your soul awaken! Getting the gear moving now vs later can make a whole lot of difference!
Now my question to you is: are you going to feed off the excuses? the fear? the lack? Or, are you going to push through regardless of the obstacles you may encounter? Remember: “Today’s excuses are tomorrow’s regrets”!
Until next time,
xoxo
