Summertime gatherings on the patio are the best! If you follow me on Snapchat, you will see that I love taking advantage of our backyard for casual dining or conversation with music in the background. I especially enjoy it more since I’m not the one firing up the grill! 😜 Living in Canada, one has to EXPLOIT, MILK AWAY every sunny day that we get, because sometimes it can become scarce. The struggle can be real up in Canada!!!
Sangria is my drink of choice during summertime! For those of you who don’t know, it’s a common drink originated from Spain that mostly consists of red wine, mix of fruits, a shot of brandy, and a bit of sugar. Believe it or not, I fell in love with sangria while I was studying abroad in Spain! My stay there holds a dear place in my heart! Oddly enough, to make this sangria I didn’t use a Spanish wine😜. I guess since I will be traveling soon to France, I decided to go with a French wine and a french liquor instead.
Ingredients
Red Wine {not too sweet, because you will be adding orange juice and the liquor}
1 Can of Sprite
Shot of Grand Marnier
2 diced Apples
1 orange sliced, plus more to garnish.
Ice to chill
